Mumbai has had a tradition of multibillionnaires donating land to the government for public good. But in the case of Modani & Co., this tradition has been reversed. Their relentless land grab in Mumbai knows no bounds and the @mieknathshinde sarkar is willing to do anything to assist this loot.

👉First they caused chaos with the Dharavi tender & committed the biggest real estate scam in history at the cost of rights of Dharavikars. Then, under the false garb of rehabilitation of Dharavi residents, they tried to usurp ecologically sensitive salt pan lands, BMC lands previously used for the octroi naka and the dumping ground at Mulund. And now, Modani & Co. have set their eyes on the ecologically sensitive Kurla Dairy land.

👉 The Kurla Dairy land belongs to ordinary Mumbaikars. It is not a pvt. property of those in power for it to 'gifted' arbitrarily to PM Modi's  BFF Gautam Adani-led DRPPL. This is yet another megascam by Modani & Co. & we'll fight against it.

👉As far as Dharavi redevelopment is concerned, our position has been clear from the beginning. We won't allow anyone in Dharavi to be displaced.  All Dharavikars must be rehabilitated in Dharavi itself. All this talk of eligible and ineligible is just a ruse, we reject it.

♻️ The Kurla dairy land, previously used by the Mother Dairy, is eco-sensitive & lush green with 800-900 precious trees. These trees have maintained the ecological balance in the area, but  now the government wants to mercilessly hack these trees & destroy the habitats and environment here. All of this is being done to serve Adani's interests.

👉 Incidentally, another top BJP leader had earlier set his eyes on this verdant land & had proposed the setting up of a business complex on the same plot.  Responding to which, CM Shinde had,just a few months ago, issued orders appointing the MMRDA as the Special Planning Authority for the monetisation of this land, ignoring opposition from locals.

👉 But now that the Adani group is eyeing this land, BJP leader & Maharashtra's Revenue and Dairy Development Minister @RVikhePatil, has conveniently overlooked the CM's order. His dairy dept has issued a GR virtually 'gifting' this green land at nominal cost to Adani-led DRPPL. This is such a big scam. This government doesn't care about people or environment, the only green they can see is that of cash.

✊ But we'll foil their plan. The environmentally conscious Nehru Nagar residents are spearheading a citizens' campaign demanding no construction or hacking of trees on the Kurla dairy land.  They are demanding that the entire plot be
be reserved as a public garden in the development plan. I stand with them on this demand. My party & I have already come out publicly in support of the campaign. We shall fight this & win.

💰 Also whether it's salt pan lands or undeveloped BMC lands previously used as an octroi naka or the Mulund dumping ground or the Kurla Dairy land, these are valuable public assets with each worth several hundreds of crores. Handing them over to Modani & Co.
without public consultation or following any due process is a blatant disregard for public interest. It is looting Mumbai.
