Saw Saritha Nair near CM’s office: MLA
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress legislator R. Selvaraj from Neyyattinkara told DC that he’d seen fraud accused Saritha S. Nair and two other women along with solar panel fraud victim Sreedharan Nair waiting near the office of the chief minister on a certain evening but doesn’t remember the date.
Nair has said in his complaint that Selvaraj was in the CM’s office when he went there along with Saritha. Selvaraj told DC that he met CM Oommen Chandy to discuss the proposed Panchikadathuka- davu Bridge at Thirupuram in Neyyattinkara. “I called on CM that day around 6:30 pm – 7 pm.
There were a few people, including three women, outside his cabin. Now,I recall that one of them was Saritha, who was with Nair. As I left CM’s cabin, Nair and the women were standing outside. Nair wished me and I acknowledged him. But I don’t know what transpired after that”, said Selvaraj.
Chandy confirmed in the Assembly on Tuesday that Sreedharan Nair had come to his office to discuss quarry issues and don’t remember seeing Saritha. He also said scores of people turn up at his office everyday and so don’t recollect meeting Saritha.
